Campaign organizers can run reports containing donor information and details about each donation from the View Donations* section of the management menu. This dashboard contains options to view both receipts and transaction confirmations.
Some fundraising Campaigns, like sales and raffles, charge donor’s credit cards immediately upon checkout. Others, like A-thons and Auctions, do not charge donor’s credit cards at checkout.
What is the difference?
Receipts show all credit card charges that were made during a specific transaction. In contrast, Transaction Confirmations show all transaction activity, even those that are not associated with immediate credit card charges, like A-thon pledges or Auction Bids. Read on to find out more.

Receipts show all credit card charges that were made during a specific transaction.
What is on a Transaction Confirmation?
Transaction confirmations will show all the information contained on a receipt plus any additional transactions that are not associated with an immediate credit card charge.
For example, imagine that a donor is enthusiastic about a cause and excited to participate in all the fundraising components available. The donor purchases a raffle ticket and a sale item, bids on an auction item, and makes an a-thon pledge.
In this scenario, their receipt would show:
- The charge associated with the purchase of the raffle ticket.
- The charge associated with the purchase of the sale item.
And their transaction confirmation would include:
- The charge associated with the purchase of the raffle ticket.
- The charge associated with the purchase of the sale item.
- The pledge they made towards the a-thon.
- The bid they made on the auction.
Later, when the a-thon has ended, the donor will receive a separate receipt for the charges associated with the a-thon. If they win the auction, they will receive a receipt for the charges related to the auction.
