Learn more about the differences between the two pricing options available on the DoJiggy fundraising platform.
DoJiggy is powered by fees collected through credit and debit card transactions (there is no charge for cash or check donations). Every campaign run on DoJiggy is subject to two types of fees:
1. The platform fee – paid to DoJiggy
- DoJiggy doesn’t require a paid subscription. It’s free to get started, and your organization (or its donors) will only have to pay the DoJiggy fee when you have an active campaign that is raising money.
2. The credit card processing fee – paid to Stripe or PayPal
- All campaigns collect online payments by debit and credit cards. All credit card processing is performed by Stripe or PayPal, not DoJiggy. These payment processors charge their own fees for processing payments.
The payment processing fee is established between Stripe or PayPal and the organization running the campaign; we are not involved in that fee or the determination of it. As such, DoJiggy fees are separate and do not include payment processing fees.

Options for covering platform fees
We offer two options for covering platform fees: Free Pricing or Percent Pricing. Discover the differences between these pricing models below.
Free Pricing
Free pricing allows organizations to keep nearly 100% of the funds raised. You won’t need to budget for the cost of using our platform, and there are no hidden costs or subscription fees. It allows donors to chip in and cover the cost of fundraising on your organization’s behalf, thereby maximizing donation amounts for your cause.
1. Platform fee
The free pricing model covers the platform fee by providing donors with the option to leave a tip during checkout. This tip is optional for donors; they can opt out of leaving a tip on their donation if they choose. All tip money goes to DoJiggy and is, therefore, separate from the donation amount that the organization receives. If no donor leaves a tip, no platform fees are charged to the campaign.
Tip Message
Here is what the tip message looks like:
Donors can choose a tip amount from the tip slide bar or enter a custom amount.
The platform fee for the free pricing model works a bit differently for raffles and sweepstakes versus other campaigns:
- Raffles and Sweepstakes – If donors choose to leave a tip on the campaign, they will receive bonus entries into the drawing for doing so.
- Bonus Entries Message:
- Other campaigns – For Athons, Ticketing, Stores/sales, and Crowdfunding Campaigns, donors will still have the option to leave a tip to cover the platform cost. Donors do not receive anything extra for leaving a tip.
Free pricing is an attractive choice for most organizers because it allows the organization to keep more of the funds raised.
2. Credit card processing fee – With free pricing, the payment processing fee will automatically come out of the amount raised by the organization. In other words, the organization covers payment processing fees on each donation by having it deducted from the donation funds. There is no option to have the donor cover these payment processing fees with the free pricing model, as we do not want to overburden donors with multiple up-sell requests.
Please note: Free pricing is NOW available for Campaigns that include Auctions!
Percent Pricing
Percent pricing is an alternative to the free pricing model. It is ideal for organizations with a corporate sponsor or those who prefer not to have their donors prompted for tips during checkout.
With the percent pricing model, the platform fees can be paid for by the organization running the Campaign, the donors, or both (by allowing the donor to opt into paying the fees).
1. Platform fee – With the percent pricing model, the platform fee will vary depending on your Campaign type.
- A 4.9% fee will be applied to each transaction made through Simple Stores, Crowdfunding, Events/Ticketing, and Auctions Campaigns.
- A 6.9% fee will be applied to Raffles, Sweepstakes, and Athons. When your organization selects All in One fundraising (mixing the type of Campaign – i.e., Crowdfunding and Auction – into one website), the platform fee is always 6.9%.
- A 1.9% fee will be applied to Donations pages.
You can choose to cover this fee by:
- Automatically deduct the fee from the funds raised
- Automatically add the fee to each donor’s donation
- Ask donors during checkout if they will pay the fee
2. Credit card processing fee – This is the standard fee for credit card processing charged by Stripe or PayPal. With the percent plan, you can pay the processing fee or require donors to pay it.
