Learn what financial reports are available in the Stripe Dashboard, how to view transaction information, and how to create and download custom financial reports.
Stripe’s financial reports will help with your accounting and reconciliation and help you understand your account balance at every step of the payments lifecycle.
To access Stripe Reports you will need to login to your Stripe account dashboard. After logging in, click the “Reports” tab on the left in the main menu.
There are two sections available from the Report tab in your Stripe Dashboard, Balance and Payout reconciliation.
Balance tab
- Balance summary – Shows starting and ending balance in your Stripe account. Starting balance is the sum of your available balance and pending balance. Changes to your balance come from activity (payments, refunds, transfers, etc.) and from payouts to your bank (aggregated here and broken out in detail in the reports below).
- Balance change from activity – Detailed breakdown of the balance change from activity line from the above Balance Summary report. Includes changes to your Stripe balance from activity (payments, refunds, transfers, etc.), excluding payouts, as well as itemized downloads.
- Payouts – Detailed breakdown of the less payouts line from the above Balance Summary report. Includes changes to your Stripe balance, from payouts to your bank, as well as itemized downloads.
Payout reconciliation tab
- Balance summary – Shows starting and ending balance in your Stripe account. Starting balance is the sum of your available balance and pending balance. Changes to your balance come from activity (see the Balance tab for a breakdown) and from payouts to your bank (detailed below).
- Payout reconciliation – Detailed breakdown of the less payouts line from the above Balance Summary report. Includes all activity that makes up the payouts in this time range, as well as itemized downloads.
- Ending balance reconciliation – Detailed breakdown of the ending balance line from the above Balance Summary report. Includes all activity that has not yet been paid out, as well as itemized downloads.
Downloading Reports

To download a report, simply click the Download button to the right of the report description. An information window will open giving you an option to select what columns you would like to add to the report.
You can wait for the report to download, or you can select the option to be notified by email when your report is ready.
