Choose how Participants and/or Teams can be added to your Peer-to-Peer fundraiser.
When you add Peer-to-Peer to your DoJiggy Campaign, you’ll have the option to choose between public and private registration for your Participants and/or Teams. Public registration allows anyone who visits your Participant Center to register to participate, while private registration requires you to add Participants and/or Teams manually.
Public Registration
This option is only available if you add a Participant Center to your Peer-to-Peer Campaign. During setup, you’ll create one or more registration options (e.g., individual and group registration) that will display in the Participant Center. When someone visits the Participant Center, they’ll be able to select a registration option and sign up:
Public registration is the best choice if you want as many people to sign up as possible to increase your fundraiser’s reach.
Private Registration
This option prevents your supporters from signing themselves up to participate. Instead, you’ll need to manually add any Participants and/or Teams yourself.
How can I Add or Import Participants and Teams for Peer To Peer Campaigns?
If you add Private registration to your Campaign, registration options will not be displayed:
Private registration is best for limiting participation to only a specific group of people, such as a list of students, employees, or other groups.
Good to know
- You can always add or import participants and teams manually, regardless of whether you have chosen public or private registration for your Campaign.
- You can add and import participants or teams both before and after your Campaign is published.
- Requiring an email address for the participants will allow them to create an account and edit their personal fundraising page. Anytime a donation is credited to them, they will also receive an email notification.
