Notifications
An email will be sent to an Auction bidder when the bidding status has changed. This happens when they have been outbid or have won an item.
When placing the initial bid, donors can choose to be notified by SMS text messages (in addition to the email notification) when they are outbid. This option is selected in the checkout process. In both the email and text notification, donors will receive bid status information and a link to easily access and increase their bid.
Winners of auction items can also receive an SMS text message notifying them when they win. This is in addition to the email notification they already receive if the organizer has chosen to enable automatic notifications.
Winning SMS Notifications
This SMS notification is only sent if the following criteria are met:
The Organizer enabled winner notifications to be sent in Campaign Setup
AND The Bidder opted in to receive SMS notifications in Checkout when they made their bid
