Livestreaming allows you to stream live video directly to your DoJiggy Campaign page. You can take any event virtual (or hybrid) with live streaming, including galas, a-thons, events, sales, and raffle drawings.
This article provides details about the “gated livestream” feature and the benefits of providing a private live stream for your supporters.
What is a Gated Livestream?
Gated Livestreaming allows you to stream a private live video directly to the donors that have purchased an event ticket.
This ensures that you will have full control of which participants are allowed into your Livestream and can see the trivia, products spotlights, online auctions, or other content you intend to host.
How do I enable Gated Livestream?
- Go to Campaigns in the left menu.
- If you have chosen list view, click on the Title of the Campaign. If you have chosen grid view, click on the Campaign image.
- Click Campaign Setup*.
- From the Basics page in the timeline.
- Scroll down to Select all fundraising activities you want to include and select Event Ticketing:
- Scroll down to Select any optional features you'd like to add and select Livestreaming by clicking the toggle so it shifts to the right:
- Click Save at the Top right of the Page.
- Now, click on the Livestream page in the timeline and Enable gated livestreaming.
- Click Save at the Top right of the Page.
How does it look like on the livestream page?
When the live stream begins, administrators can choose to send an email to registered participants that inform them the livestream is about to start.
Your donors will need to enter an access code to enter the live stream.
Good To Know:
- Campaign managers can consult the list of tickets purchased in their event management area by going to “View event registration” There they can see the participant’s name, email, and access code in case someone requested it, managers can send them their access code.
- Access codes will be shown in the receipt and in the confirmation email after the participant has purchased the event ticket.
- Each ticket comes with a unique access code, if a participant purchased several event tickets they can share the access code with their guests.
