Test Mode allows Organizers to review the full donor Campaign on their Campaigns by making test purchases, registrations, and donations. Test Mode was released on September 16, 2022, and only Campaigns created on or after that date will be able to use the feature.
Do I need to Enable Test Mode?
No – Test Mode is not something you need to enable or turn on – it’s automatically built-in for any Campaign or Donation Page that has not been published and is still in draft mode. Test Mode allows you to fully test and evaluate the platform to get a feel for what your donors will Campaign before you publish and go live.
Whenever you Preview your Campaign while in Draft Status, Test Mode is automatically enabled, and you can submit test transactions, view receipts, see test data in reports, and perform management functions related to those transactions.
How is payment handled?
With Test Mode, you can submit test transactions using automatically pre-filled test card numbers on any Campaign or Donation Page.
Stripe
With Stripe, the credit card fields will be filled in with test card data.
PayPal
With PayPal, you will need to use one of the Test Credit cards listed here on the PayPal website.
Can I view Reports?
Yes, all backend functions are open for testing, including exporting reports, importing Teams/Participants, adding physical raffle tickets, and more.
If you have linked a Stripe or PayPal sandbox account before using Test Mode, you can even see the test transactions in your payment processor dashboard.
Will I know I am in Test Mode?
The Campaign Page, Checkout, and Management backend have on-screen banners to inform you that you are in Test Mode.
What happens with the test data?
When you publish the Campaign to go live, all test mode transaction data is conveniently deleted so that everything is clean before your donors view the Campaign.
